JinRoop ("we", "our", or "us") operates the JinRoop mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
Preferences
We store your preferred language (English, Hindi, or Gujarati), favorite wallpapers, and wallpaper viewing history to personalize your experience.
Device Information
If you enable push notifications, we collect your device push token to send you darshan reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous analytics such as wallpaper views, downloads, and feature usage to improve the App. We use Firebase Analytics for this purpose.
Payment Information
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely through Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We only store your subscription status (free or premium) within the App.
2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. We implement industry-standard security measures including rate limiting, CORS protection, and input validation.

6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
Personal data — name, email, password, preferences, favorites, viewing history, and device tokens are permanently deleted within 30 days.
Anonymous analytics — aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked to your identity may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
Subscription records — if you had a premium subscription, transaction records managed by Google Play or Apple App Store are retained by those platforms per their own policies.
Legal compliance records — minimal records required by applicable law may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion.

JinRoop is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. The App contains devotional content appropriate for all age groups.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
